Dog Days of Summer - Pender Mackie I really enjoyed this m/m short story, which started out with tragedy, but ended on an uplifting note. I liked seeing Levi's self-analysis of his life since his dog, Whirlwind, entered it and how Levi becomes comfortable with the idea that maybe...just maybe...he's ready to date (and not just hook up at nightclubs). I thought it was a nice touch for Shea to be the aggressor/pursuer dating-wise, even though Levi was the aggressor earlier in their physical hook-up. Overall, a 3.5/4 story.
