3 stars. Good, but not great. I really liked Ric, and Dee Ann came across better/more sympathetic/less insanely bloodthirsty than I'd expected. I like unrequited love stories, so I wish we'd had more of Ric's POV and strategy for wooing Dee Ann. I didn't feel like there was much romance in this one, but I really liked the prologue and how it subtly showed up later in the story. The large cast of characters distracted me and, in some cases like Blayne and her hyperactive personality, annoyed the living daylights out of me. Not sure if I'm interested in reading the next one in the series.
